CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY AND EVALUATION FOR THE ACADEMIC MID-CAREER NUTRITION LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE APPLICATION
To be eligible for the Dannon Institute’s Academic Mid-Career Nutrition Leadership Institute, applicants must have achieved the position of Associate Professor or Professor and have earned a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) in nutrition or a related subject. It is generally expected that applicants will have finished their terminal degree training 10 to 20 years ago. To be eligible, applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Canada or Mexico and be able to provide proof of citizenship or permanent residency.
Applicants will be evaluated for their engagement in and commitment to current leadership roles in their universities and/or professional societies, as well as their interest in taking future leadership roles, such as department chair, in an academic setting. The Dannon Institute is seeking diversity in the participants of the Academic Mid-Career Nutrition Leadership Institute including geographic location, academic work setting (private university, land-grant university, medical college, etc.), and research focus (e.g., biological or social sciences, dietetics, food science, economics, public health, etc.).
This program is conducted in English and the application must be completed in English. Applicants who are selected for participation are responsible for obtaining any necessary passports, visas, etc. for travel to the United States.
